To apply for the MSci (Hons) Adult and Mental Health Nursing course:

  • 112 UCAS points (or equivalent).
  • T Levels are welcomed as part of the application process.

Specific entry requirements:

  • A levels/BTEC (or equivalent qualification): At least one science or health-related subject.
  • GCSE (or equivalent): Grade 4/C in Maths and English, with at least one science subject desirable.
  • Applicants must undertake an interview.
  • Successful candidates must complete an Occupational Health (OH) Check and an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Check.
  • Non-native English speakers without GCSE English or equivalent at grade 4/C or above require an IELTS score of:
    • At least 6.5 in writing.
    • At least 7.0 in reading, listening, and speaking, with an overall score of 7.0.

Other acceptable qualifications:

  • Passes in two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Level.
  • A pass in one subject at GCE Advanced Level plus either:
    • Passes in two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level, or
    • A Vocational A-Level Single Award, or
    • Two Vocational A-Level part Awards.
  • A Vocational A-Level Double Award.
  • A Vocational A-Level Single Award plus either:
    • Two Vocational A-Level part Awards, or
    • Passes in two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level.
  • A BTEC National Certificate or Diploma.
  • A completed T Level award.
  • A Scottish Certificate of Education with either:
    • Passes in five subjects, including at least three at Higher grade, or
    • Passes in four subjects all at Higher or New Higher grade.
  • A full Diploma of the International Baccalaureate.
  • An Irish Leaving Certificate with passes in four subjects at Grade C at the Higher level.

All applicants must pass an academic interview.
