  • 104 UCAS Tariff points which must include one of the following:
    • A Level: a relevant Science subject, such as, Biology, Chemistry or Physics, at grade C.
    • BTEC National: Extended Diploma in Applied Science.
    • A Level and BTEC National: Extended Certificate in Applied Science and an A Level in a relevant Science subject, such as, Biology, Chemistry or Physics, at grade C.
    • International Baccalaureate: 26 points overall including Higher Level Science at grade 5.
    • Access to Higher Education Diploma: Science.
    • T Level: Science (Laboratory Sciences) at grade Merit.

Applicants are typically expected to meet one of the following criteria for undergraduate courses:

  • GCE Advanced Levels: Passes in two distinct subjects.
  • Combination of Advanced and Subsidiary Levels: A pass in one subject at GCE Advanced Level and passes in either two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level, a Vocational A-Level Single Award, or two Vocational A-Level part Awards.
  • Vocational A-Level: Double Award or a combination of a Single Award and either two Vocational A-Level part Awards or passes in two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level.
  • BTEC National Certificate or Diploma: Equivalent qualifications are accepted.
  • T Level Award: Completed T Level qualifications are considered.
  • Scottish Certificate of Education: Passes in five subjects, including at least three at Higher grade, or passes in four subjects all at Higher or New Higher grade.
  • International Baccalaureate: Full Diploma.
  • Irish Leaving Certificate: Passes in four subjects at Grade C at the Higher level.
  • Specific GCSE Requirements: Some courses may require a minimum Grade C/4 in specified subjects or an equivalent qualification.
  • Interview Requirement: All applicants must pass an academic interview.

1. Eligibility Criteria for Student Finance England (SFE):

     - Must be 60 or over on the first day of the first academic year of the course.
     - Studying full-time.
     - Course started on or after 1 August 2016.
