  • 104 UCAS Tariff points which must include one of the following:
    • A Level: a relevant Science subject, such as, Biology, Chemistry or Physics, at grade C.
    • BTEC National: Extended Diploma in Applied Science.
    • A Level and BTEC National: Extended Certificate in Applied Science and an A Level in a relevant Science subject, such as, Biology, Chemistry or Physics, at grade C.
    • International Baccalaureate: 26 points overall including Higher Level Science at grade 5.
    • Access to Higher Education Diploma: Science.
    • T Level: Science (Laboratory Sciences) at grade Merit.

To qualify for the BSc (Hons) Forensic Science course, applicants must meet at least one of the following academic criteria:

  • GCE Advanced Level: Passes in two distinct subjects.
  • GCE Advanced Level with Subsidiary Levels: A pass in one Advanced Level subject plus:
    • Passes in two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level, or
    • A Vocational A-Level Single Award, or
    • Two Vocational A-Level part Awards.
  • Vocational A-Level: A Vocational A-Level Double Award or a Vocational A-Level Single Award plus:
    • Two Vocational A-Level part Awards, or
    • Passes in two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level.
  • BTEC National Certificate or Diploma: Successful completion.
  • T Level Award: A completed T Level qualification.
  • Scottish Certificate of Education: Passes in five subjects, including at least three at Higher grade, or passes in four subjects, all at Higher or New Higher grade.
  • International Baccalaureate: Full Diploma completion.
  • Irish Leaving Certificate: Passes in four subjects at Grade C or above at the Higher Level.

Some courses may require GCSE Grade C/4 or higher in specific subjects or equivalent qualifications. Additionally, all applicants must pass an academic interview as part of the admission process.

Student Finance England (SFE) offers invaluable financial support to eligible students. This may cover tuition fees, maintenance loans for living costs, and additional support for students with children or adult dependants. To be eligible:

1. Eligibility Criteria for Student Finance England (SFE):
   - Must be a UK national or have a settled status.
   - Should be ordinarily resident in England.

     - Studying full-time.
     - Course started on or after 1 August 2016.
