  • 104 UCAS Tariff points which must include one of the following:
    • A Level: Mathematics.
    • BTEC National: Extended Diploma in an Engineering subject and must include both Mathematics units with one at Merit.
    • A Level and BTEC National: Diploma/Extended Certificate in an Engineering subject and A Level Mathematics if Mathematics units for the BTEC National are not included.
    • A Level and BTEC National: Diploma/Extended Certificate in Applied Science and A Level Mathematics.

Applicants for the BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering Technology programme must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Passes in two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Level.
  • A pass in one subject at GCE Advanced Level plus one of the following:
    • Passes in two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level.
    • A Vocational A-Level Single Award.
    • Two Vocational A-Level part Awards.
  • A Vocational A-Level Double Award.
  • A Vocational A-Level Single Award plus one of the following:
    • Two Vocational A-Level part Awards.
    • Passes in two distinct subjects at GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level.
  • A BTEC National Certificate or Diploma.
  • A completed T Level award.
  • A Scottish Certificate of Education with one of the following:
    • Passes in five subjects, including at least three at Higher grade.
    • Passes in four subjects, all at Higher grade or New Higher grade.
  • The full Diploma of the International Baccalaureate.
  • An Irish Leaving Certificate with passes in four subjects at Grade C at the Higher level.

Applicants may also need to achieve a GCSE Grade C/4 or above in specific subjects or hold equivalent qualifications.

Interview Requirement: All applicants must successfully pass an academic interview.

1. Eligibility Criteria for Student Finance England (SFE):
